XV Estonian Folk Music Arrangements Festival 25 - 26 April 2014, at Mooste Manor in Pôlva county
We invite you to take part of the Estonian Folk Music Arrangements Festival at Mooste Manor in Põlva county.Festival is open for the professional musicians as well as for the amateurs. The purpose of this festival is to re-use folk-music in a nowadays context. To participate, we ask you to prepare a programme (max 15 min.) for the competitive concert. Your programme should contain a modern arrangement of the folk-music of your country, and a compulsory Estonian folk-song, given by the organizers of the festival.
Festival's grand prix is 1,000 euros.
Concerts take place in Mooste Manor, in its horse-barn and we offer additional perfomances in different schools in the region and can help You with organizing additional concerts in Estonia.
Festival is free of charge for all the participants. For foreigner participants free meals, free accommodation and free transport are guaranteed in (inside) Estonia.

FRIDAY 25th of April
Opening of the festival by the Mooste Lake. On Friday evening we celebrate the 100th anniversary of famous estonian accordion player Karl Kikas and the opening party together with folk dancers and live acoustic music (mostly on accordions) is dedicated to him. All musicians, who participate at the festival, can perform during the party at the stage, practice co-playing and/or play live music to the local folk dancers.
SATURDAY, 26th of April
11:00 - 17:00 Green stage at Mooste Mill Theatre - GREEN STAGE CONCERTS AT VESKITEATER ARE HELD ONLY ON ACOUSTIC INSTRUMENTS. REGISTRATION TO THE GREEN STAGE GOES THROUGH REGISTRATION FORM. PERFORMING TIME ON STAGE ABOUT 20 MINUTES.

18:00 Competitive Concert.
21:00 Gala concert. This year Estonian folk music arrangements festival celebrates the 15th anniversary. For this occasion we have invited all the musicians who have gained Grand Prix or other prizes in the festival, to re-union on the stage and celebrate together. We bend our knees and acknowledge our thanks to all the musicians who have participated in this festival throughout these 15 years and proved that folk and traditional music is alive, musically very rich, interesting and popular.
